Welcome to Word and Wind, a blog about my own exploration of what it means to be a Pentecostal.  I write as someone who did not grow up in the Pentecostal world, but have found a home here. I am currently about two years from completion of my PhD in theology and apologetics (Lord willing!) with the excellent folks at Liberty University. Prior, all of my studies had been completed at Pentecostal institutions, and so Liberty represents for me a (much needed) broadening of my theological horizons.

My intentions for this blog is that it would be a place to, somewhat informally, share some of my own joys and concerns, questions and discoveries as I explore what it means to live life in the fullness of the Spirit. I hope that this blog serves as a conversation piece between Pentecostal and non-Pentecostal forms of Christianity, as I firmly believe that we have much to gain from dialogue with one another. Therefore, I encourage comments and discussions, but ask that compassion and brotherly love govern our thoughts toward one another (cf. Romans 12:10).

Hope you enjoy!
